About the event
Join Kirsten as you navigate the basic introductory techniques for learning to crochet.
Note - this is a blended class featuring both brand new beginners as well as "step 2" crocheters who have already completed our introduction class, or have more advanced skills (completion of the introduction class is not necessary). Step 2 crocheters are welcome to bring a pattern they are working on and will receive instruction and assistance with completing the pattern.
We'll start right at the beginning - how to hold a hook - and work our way through basic stitches and techniques needed to master beginner crochet. By the end of the 6 week program, you will be able to confidently complete a standard dish cloth (and more!).
- Classes run for 6 weeks on Mondays from 7:30pm to 9:00pm beginning September 18 and ending October 30 (no class October 9)
- Add on a beginner starter kit for $20 which includes a crochet hook, 2 balls of yarn, stitch markers and a yarn needle
- Limited seating - only 8 spaces available - reserve your seat to avoid disappointment
- We will be at the Strathcona County Museum & Archives. There is no food and drink available for purchase, please feel free to bring your own (all drinks must be in sealable leak-proof containers please!)
- Parking is available at the venue
