2022 - A Year in Review

Happy New Year!

What a year! 2022 was an incredibly successful year for the Sherwood Heights Community League! We would like to thank all of you for your support and contributions throughout the year. We hope you enjoyed our events and are looking forward to all that the new year has in store.

In 2022, we partnered with local businesses and organizations to host a bunch of events including the Plant and Seed Swap, Neighborhood Cleanup Day, Community Day BBQ, Photography Contests, Sherwood Frights Virtual Map Event (Formerly Haunted Heights), Macramé Wall Hanging Class, Winter Wonderland Virtual Christmas Decoration Map, a regular Newsletter Mailing List, and we just wrapped up a community-sourced cookbook fundraiser event (Hard Copies Sold Out, Digital Versions Still Available)! To top it all off, we also started hosting our monthly meetings in-person at our new home, the Strathcona County Museum and Archives!

Our 2023 Goals:
  • Grow our league, raise awareness and add volunteers and members to our roster

  • Register as an official non-profit society

  • Continue with some events from 2022 (Plant & Seed Swap, Community Day BBQ, Sherwood Frights) and add in some new events for 2023

  • Fundraise, Fundraise, Fundraise - all so we can continue to provide awesome events and resources!

  • Create an official Sherwood Heights website
